Takeko Kujo (1887-1928) was the daughter of Koson Otani, the 21st Monshu (Spiritual Leader) of Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha.  Muyuge is Takeko Kujo's most popular work.  It went through over 400 printings in less than 15 years and is now considered a classic in Japan.

    The poems enclosed are so wonderful, I only wish I had the skill to read them in their original Japanese. The unusual light blue pages add a nice touch.
