Approx. 80 sticks

Eiheiji, the "temple of eternal peace" is one of Soto Zen's two head temples in Japan. They burn this "Reiryo Koh" incense. Reiryo Koh uses abundant Chinese medicine material including Sandalwood. Its smell reminds you of the incense sticks from old times. This is by far the most popular Temple incense.

Main Ingredients:Sandalwood, Clove, Foenun Graecum, Patchouli, Tarmelic/Turmetic, Borneol Camphor. Length: 5.5" Quantity: 80 Sticks or More Burn Time: approx. 25 min. Company: Kunmeido

    Superb incense

Probably one of my favorite incense blends ever. Once lit, each stick which burns for about twenty five minutes releases a very traditional and calming fragrance which has many levels. The sandalwood and clove are supported and enhanced by a number of Chinese herbals, and I find myself burning two or three stick at a time just to intensify the experience, although a single sick is certainly sufficient to get a desired effect. A big recommend for those who enjoy trying traditional, well balanced and beautifully complex incense. It is certainly understandable why this incense is burned regularly at two of the main Soto Zen temples in Japan.
